Here are the remarkable trends for the next nice years that are presented in the forecast:

Attacks on Windows to Fall Down

Microsoft is really working hard to hold its no.1 position as OS producer but unfortunately, that will not last longer. According to the report the user have already started to have a new experience with the expanding range of operating systems. This trend will lead to significant decrease in attacks on Windows. As the criminals will have to either all the operating systems or to continue hitting Windows in large corporations. In both cases, Microsoft’s OS will have a sigh of relief as the cybercriminals will be unable to develop malicious content for that many operating systems.

Grouping the cybercriminals in 2020

In 2020 there will be two major groups of cyber criminals on the basis of targeting. One group will be targeting the businesses and corporations and the second group will target the everyday life like the traffic signal systems. Both of the groups will eventually add risk and hurdles to smooth cyber life.

Botnets

Botnets are today’s major threat to IT and these threats will increase exponentially in future. This will be achieved by taking more and more internet-enabled devices and even mobile phones into mesh of Botnets.

Exponential Increase in Mobile Spam

Upcoming years are of mobiles. And hence, threats to mobiles will also increase but point to ponder is the exponential growth of spam in mobile phones which will occur during the next few years leading the overall mobile spam to a huge ratio. This could occur due to decline in cellular data rates which will attract more users to expand the mobile connectivity options. Hence more data transfer, there will be more spam.

The report contains serious points else than these which can be accessed at www.securelist.com/en
