Connect HTC Thunderbolt to Computer (Easy Guide)

HTC Thunderbolt is out coping with a huge anticipation all over. And believe it or not, it has done very well so far. But on various forums and websites, users have been found complaining about the connectivity of the device with their PC. Well that’s not a tough job at all. Follow the below procedure to connect your HTC Thunderbolt to Computer (PC).

HTC Thunderbolt Operations

1. Plug in the supplied USB cable in your device and computer

2. Your phone will show you a “Connect to PC” screen

3. Choose “Disk drive” by tapping on it

4. Tap on “Done” to finish things on mobile side

PC Operations

5. Now open the device on computer as removable disk (which is by default)

6. In the removable disk, you will find “HTCSync.exe”. Copy it to your desktop (There are cases reported for not working of HTCSync.exe inside the removable disk. If this is the case with you then you can download HTCSync.exe from here)

7. Safely remove removable disk. (either by selecting “Eject” in the right click menu or by choose “Safely Remove USB” from System Tray)

8. Follow on-screen instructions to install HTCSync.exe on your computer

9. Now you will need to set up HTC Sync to recognize your phone

10. Connect your mobile once again with the computer

11. Now tap “HTC Sync” on your mobile’s “Connect to PC” screen

12. HTC Sync will show a Device setup screen on your computer

13. Enter name for your device and select Save

That’s it! You are done with HTC Thunderbolt connectivity with PC. In case of any troubles or if your PC ask for drivers for the device when you connect it then don’t panic, just download the HTCSync.exe from HTC website (link above).
